Figurine of Sai Baba

A modern figurine of Indian spiritual guru Sai Baba of Shirdi (c.1838-1918), made of resin. Sai Baba is revered by both Hindu and Muslim followers. He preached the importance of ‘realisation of the self’ and criticised ‘love towards perishable things’. This find, a recent votive offering, stayed in the river.
