Sub-rectangular shoe buckle attached to leather upper

An incomplete cast copper-alloy sub-rectangular shoe buckle found attached to fragments of leather upper, 18th century. A similar example is described in Ross Whitehead, Buckles 1250-1800, p. 106 (No. 677), and is dated to 1720s-1790s.
